After a thank you to committee members from Terri, we made two lists. The first highlighting what went well with the weekend events and the second reviewing things that we could have done differently. Both lists were a combination of committee and classmate comments.
What went well: ·there was something to do for everyone ·people felt welcomed ·meet and greet was very open ·getting to visit with former teachers was great ·the slide show at Jefferson was good ·Mark Hunter had a great presentation ·many positive comments on facebook ·over 300 new hits on the webpage ·the Clarion was a good venue with enough room ·had a lot of fun at the potluck
What could have been done differently:
·eliminate background music ·enlarge printing on name tags ·photographers did not get enough close up shots – (many great pictures were taken by classmates with more to be up-loaded soon) ·set up more photo ops for all schools

Further discussion to follow. A discussion was started about having another reunion. General consensus was that it would be a good idea to have another reunion in the next few years. The set-up would resemble the meet and greet. More discussion will follow. Julie has set up a breakfast reservation for our class at Tommy's on Edgewood Road. All class members are welcome on the 4th Wednesday of the month. Come join us on October 25, at 9:00. The committee would like to meet again in the Spring of 2018. Jefferson High School Class of 1967 Reunion Meeting
Tuesday September 22, 2015 Ladd Library -CRPL
Those in attendance: Margaret Pena Meir, Tim Fowler,Terri Cumberlin Nekvinda, Julie Cook Burgin, Bob Burgin, Lila Igram Thompson, Janet Gardner Powers, Jan Pettit Kuda, Caroll Johnson St. John, Sue Kadlec Rocarek, John Sullivan and Gary Bannick by Skype.
A treasurer and secretary have been named. Jim Hagerman has agreed to become treasurer and Sue Rocarek has agreed to be secretary.
Lila shared information on renting a barn or green space. Dwight Hughes no longer rents out his barn. Other barns were too costly. Using green space at Ellis Park is not feasible because of numerous restrictions.
Terri checked on getting an ad in the Milestones to help find classmates. The cost, that would include a class logo and 50 words would be $29. Placing ads in Tid Bits and the Penny Saver were also discussed.
Tentative dates, September 15, 16, and 17, 2017, were discussed for the reunion.
The Clarion Hotel was named as a possible venue. Jan Kuda is checking with the hotel.
A variety of activities were discussed. The most popular ideas were:
* golf outing on Saturday afternoon * meet and greet at the hotel on Friday evening * dinner at the hotel on Saturday evening * bus tour of the city Saturday afternoon * potluck meal on Sunday
Ticket prices of $40 or $50 were discussed. The bus tour would be an additional $10.
Attendance at the October 2, 2015 football game was encouraged to help promote the reunion. Bob Lahman has sent out information for that event. (See Attachment)
The meeting ended at 9:00
The next meeting will be at the Ladd Library on Tuesday, November 10, at 7:00 pm.
